After that whole fiasco, we finally made it to the beach. So the beaches in Barcelona are nothing but crowded, dirty, and full of people trying to get you to buy things. Also several women on these beaches don't wear tops. All I have to say is ewwwwww. We only ended up staying on the beach for like an 1 and a half because me and another girl wanted to go do this thing called a GoCar. She had heard about it from one of her friends who had done it and it's basically driving a little car around the city with a GPS telling you where to go and what things are. It was seriously one of the best things we did all trip. Here's what the car looked like...
Me driving that through Barcelona, you do the math haha. I can now say I've driven a "car" in a foreign country though! It was a little scary driving it at first but after I got the hang of it, I almost ran over some pedestrians who thought they could illegally walk in front of me. Also we had several people pointing and taking pictures of us as we drove around so we were basically celebrities. We were kind of a big deal haha. Anyway we drove all around the center of the city past the La Sagrada Familia and all the way up to Park Guell which are two monuments by the famous architect Gaudi. These 2 places were probably my two favorite of the whole trip. They were absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't spend long at the park though because we had to pay for the car by the hour so we only got to pop in and take a couple pictures. Here are a couple...

Really cool lizard in the park
After rushing through the park, we headed on our "scenic" route back. These people really know how to run there business because after an hour you have to start paying by the minute and the way home is not short let me tell you. We got to see a lot more of the city though so I didn't really mind paying a little extra. We went past the most famous block of architecture in Barcelona because on this block there are 3 very different types of architecture by 3 different architects. It was really cool to see them all side by side and one of them was by Gaudi and that one was my favorite. His use of colors and very organic shapes in the building is amazing in my opinion. La Sagrada is his best work in my opinion but I'll get to that later. We finally made it back safe and sound but were running a little late because we had to make it back to shower before our catamaran tour that we had bought tickets for that night. We booked it back to the flat but ended up not really showering because of the 1 shower for 9 girls who basically all got back at the same time...you do the math haha.
We sprayed lots of perfume, put on lots of deodorant, and changed clothes quickly so we could pick up Subway on the way. Yes Subway was my best friend in Barcelona because I ate it 3 days in a row haha. The food in Barcelona and me didn't really get along. We made it to the catamaran tour on time though and it was great! It was an awesome way to relax and see the city and sunset from the sea. We also got some Sangria that was delicious and listened to the live jazz music on the boat. It was great to hang out with everyone and chill after a long day. After the tour we walked all the way back up La Rambla and stopped for some delicious gelato on the way. It was really interesting though because literally the people would get mad when we asked to try a flavor and when they would finally give us a sample it would be so small it wasn't even worth it. Not how it works in the US but o well. We were all pooped from the day again so we just hung out and then crashed so we could get up for another great day of walking haha. I'll leave you with a view from the sea...
